Project Purpose
This project focuses on developing and implementing the iWolfpack Readers program, an online afterschool literacy tutoring initiative specifically designed for Grade 2-4 students who would benefit from additional support in reading comprehension and writing. The program is conducted in collaboration with M.Ed. students enrolled in the ECI 640 Supervised Practicum in Literacy under the instruction of Jackie Relyea. The project aims to evaluate the feasibility, usability, and effectiveness of the program in improving young readers’ reading comprehension and reading engagement. We also build long-term research-practice partnerships and agendas that unite the needs of local contexts and the interests of researchers, practitioners, and parents.
